Weekending 32 – Gabe’s Birthday

This weekend was pretty much Gabe’s Birthday Extravaganza 2.0. All SaturdayI was at my parent’s using my dad’s kitchen, his cake pans, an his extra set of hands to make my balloon inspired cake. Then Sundayย it was holy-shit-people-are-coming cleaning palooza! But in the end, we had a house full of people who loved my son, a delicious cake, and balloon hats for everyone!

  1. Thank god for skype! Next we need to figure out how to do long-distance cake… So glad you guys had such a wonderful day celebrating gabe ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Is that one of those rotating aquarium lamp things? I have been eyeing one, convinced Z would love it, but felt like I kept seeing negative reviews for longevity/durability. Let me know how his is!

    1. Yes! It is a rotating aquarium lamp. It has a timer mode so it can go off after a short period of time if you wanted to use it at bed time. I have no idea how much these things cost, but I would not spend more than $30? It is really fun for Gabe who likes to spot Nemo and Dory as they swim by, but we won’t use it as a night light because I don’t want to mess with our bedroom routine. It is a really nice, calming distraction though, and he can sit and watch it along for whole minutes! If it isn’t too much money, I definitely recommend it! Or add it to birthday lists. ๐Ÿ˜‰
