On Friday Gabe came to my office and practiced trick or treating around at people’s desks. It was really cute and he got in the groove of taking candy and putting it nicely in his pumpkin bucket. He refused to wear the tunic part of his shark outfit, but instead he wore the hat, a grey long sleeved shirt, and shark pants from his birthday party!
I’m not a huge fan of Halloween in general. I know a lot of people LOVE IT, but I am not one of those people. Dressing up stresses me out and people in costumes make me anxious. But Halloween with a kid? Halloween with a kid is the greatest! We weren’t sure if we were going to go trick or treating in the evening because it had been super rainy in the morning, but we did and it was the best decision ever!! We had to stop about every 10 feet to watch airplanes fly over, and getting up and down all of the stairs was more of a work out for Kamel and I than Gabe, but it was super worth it.
The rest of the weekend was errands, chores, checking out an indoor play space, watching football at my parent’s and enjoying mexican soup, nachos, and apple crumble pie.
(Cutest thing about trick or treating, the adults at one house we went to was all “We have shots for the grownups!!” Awww)
(BOOTY BOOTY BOOTY, what is happening with my butt here?!)
(Saturday morning! Laundry, stories, naked timez.)
Skipping the last swim lesson because I really just didn’t feel like it, and I’m a grown up. Isn’t that the BEST?
Pushing nap time on Saturday while we ran errands downtown and enjoying a squirrely, mess of a baby. But also getting some holiday outfits and some new jeans for Kamel. And updating our name change with the banks!
Spending Sunday afternoon with my parents and a Seahawks WIN!
