How does it work that long weekends feel short and regular weekends feel long? There is a big big bright moon right now as I am typing this and both Kamel and I feel like Sunday night is in slow motion. When will it be baby’s bedtime already? Ahhh slooowww motion! We did so much this weekend. We zoo-ed, we did normal house stuff, we rented White House Down – how dumb and entertaining and blow-up-stuff is that movie? SO DUMB AND ENTERTAINING. I went outlet shopping with Kathleen and bought a million fall-inspired baby clothes, I got a pedicure, there was a surprise block-party esque thing that happened on our street, and I still felt like I got to laze around and eat too many snacks. What more could a girl ask for?
Basically this weekend there are only zoo photos and a few from our Sunday morning. At a certain point photos just seemed forced. But early morning zoo where I got to FEED A GIRAFFE?! Yes please. YES PLEASE.
(Melt down)
More than any other blog-baby, I feel like Gabe has grown up SO FAST. Also, I love this feature and I’m so glad you’re planning on doing 100 of them!
Capitol Hill scarf guy!
And I definitely didn’t realize giraffes had such long tongues….?
You know why weekends with a baby seem so long? BECAUSE YOU WAKE UP AT SIX AM. Achem. Sigh.
Sometimes long in a good way, sometimes long in a long way.
I need to hurry up my wedding planning, if for no other reason than to see Gabe before he turns into a REAL BOY! Can’t wait to see ya’ll again!
Yay zoo! Your weekends always look like so much fun. I never feel like I get as much done on my four day weekends as you do on your two day weekends. Also I love how much Gabes personality shines through in these picture posts.
Fun fact, giraffes have the same number of vertebrae as us!! Only 7 big bones. Awesome.
Thanks for inspiring me to look up where we can go feed giraffes. It is the hubby’s dream, and I have yet to deliver. But! We will do it in the next year, for sure!
