Weekend-ing: Family

This weekend was about visiting family but also being home in my little hermit shell.

Last week felt incredibly long. I was slammed at work and needed more sleep than I got. So by Friday evening I was done. And Saturday I was even more done. Sometimes you have to throw your plans out the window and just lose the day.

Sunday we visited my grandparents and then my parents. We had pie twice, my grandma’s homemade ravioli’s, explored their garden, and visited leisurely at my parent’s house. I went to bed early and slept a full 8 hours. I feel less frazzled now, more together and not as spread out all over the place. Thank god for weekends.

(The Tee-Pee my Grandma made for me when I was little and now Gabe was playing in it. So surreal.)

Kanye on the meaning of life. He’s just so self involved, I can’t help watching with wonder.

How the Russian public view Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

I’m not surprised, but it is still oddly fascinating and infuriating that this exists.

Thank you New Yorker for answering my own “Where has he been this whole time?” question.
