Weekend-ing

Family Palooza!!! They are the most anticipated and most exhausting weekends ever. Kamel’s family flew in from MIA, my sister-in-law’s wife (Lara!!) cooked dinner at my parents house on friday, there was world cup watching and park going and eating and drinking and at the end a full blown baptism for one baby gabe. It was a weekend palooza of paloozas! The palooziest.

I am both relieved we made it through and sad that it is over.

I am exhausted.

I am filled with absolute JOY that so many people love my s0n, so many people love my little family, and so grateful that we live in a place where we can give my son a village, where we can give ourselves a village.

I am so grateful we have people willing to travel and spend so much money/time just to be involved in our lives.

We are incredibly blessed.

  1. Yay for Gabe’s special day! Great pictures – my favorites are the sunscreen application (happens here too..!) , the book on his head and patiently getting his baptism shoes tied. Oh and his belly in the soccer shirt! Okay, fine… all of them.

  2. Looks like such an awesome weekend, I’m so sad I missed it! Also, the series of ice cream pictures are amazing… Kamel looks so zen!
