We had an unexpetedly full and fun weekend with a last minute Seattle Sounders game (our first!), a trip to the nicest DMV I have ever experienced, and the farmer’s market with my parents on Sunday. It was the perfect amount of adventure and getting shit done and relaxation.
Somehow, though, I still managed to be easily irritated and grumpy at times. I really really hate when that happens. It is such a waste of negative malarky.
Also, our neighbors on the ground floor have a giant patio and have been barbecuing every night for the past week. It makes me long for a backyard and a beautifully grilled steak. And it makes me kind of hate them a little bit. See? GRUMPY. Despite all the lovely. Sigh.
This happened. It’s true. But don’t worry, the beginning of the weekend ended in an opposite fashion from the end. You’ll see.
DMV conqueror.
Across from our apartment. So much green! A walk on Saturday afternoon was green and happy and full of flowers.
(Hi Tricia pregnant tummy! Hello Seattle Sounders!)
(My favorite shot of the space needle and a night out on the way home + rando-car man. Excellent.)
Easter egg radishes!
Mr. independent.
Told you it would end in the opposite way.
Elsewhere…
Famous people crying + saying goodbye to Barbara Walters.
Paid Menstrual Leave, anyone?
If Abramson was a man, would there be as much hubub over this? Would her personality even be in question? I don’t know but I think I HATE this.
Olden Times Badassery.
1) those radishes are gorgeous. I want them in my belly.
2) Byron loves steak but never gets to eat it because I don’t like it. He would love to have an excuse to grill some up 😉
I, too, have a case of the inexplicable grumps, lately. What is going on?! I feel like my mood can turn on a dime and I’m spoiling so many otherwise lovely days by just being a major crankface. If you figure out a way to kick the habit, please do share.
MENSTRUAL LEAVE IS A THING IN OTHER COUNTRIES???? OH MY GOD. I’m pretty sure that’s the nail in my “leaving” coffin. I get both sides of this but as someone who has some pretty intense periods sometimes, I would sign up in a heartbeat, stupid jokes be damned.
Come over anytime! We’re grilling every Friday and I will totally cook up a steak for you!
And I love that all your neighborhood walk photos are in my favoritest of all neighborhoods. I bet you walked right past my parents’ house!
