This weekend was all about family. Saturday we got down and dirty cleaning the house, running errands, and taking the baby to an impromptu doctor’s visit. (Yay Croup! And more ear infections! Wooo!) And then Sunday was Mother’s day with cards in bed and baby snuggles, brunch at my parent’s house with both sets of grandparents, and the best kind of Seattle weather.
(Abandoned bean burrito that Gabe was systematically throwing on the floor. Also pictured: his myriad of baby meds.)
(Mother’s Day morning skype session with the Miami Abeulos!)
(4 generations on Mother’s Day. I would not be here if it weren’t for all of these women.)
(The view from my parent’s roof)
Elsewhere from the week that was:
Interesting, as I am one.
In celebration of mothers day: The beautiful people and where they came from. (I’m a sucker for a good photo slide show.)
This because the line “…share his ridiculous baby tantrum thoughts…” made me smile all day.
Hope! I knew it was there somewhere. Also: Science!
The MFA experience explained here was not mine (I read and discussed a large range of writers, from a variety of backgrounds and did not feel an overwhelming flood of white/straight/male influence), but I understand this is an issue in other programs. Beside the point, I love Diaz and I freaking LOVE reading lists. Clearly.
The adorableness. I can’t.
Oh, and stop saying, “I have a boyfriend.”
