The Better In Real Life Reading List #3

It is time, once again, to unveil a reading list! Feel free to pick up some books and follow along with the conversations happening in the coming weeks. Hopefully some of you will have read some of these and we can talk about what we loved and what we did not love.

This time around there will be 2-3 reviewers for each book. Sometimes, most of the time, that third person will be me. But! Sometimes I won’t be able to finish a book here and there. I don’t want to have book discussions on 1 reading list drag on and on for a year + like last time, and I would love to have a variety of opinions, thoughts, etc on each book, so I’ve whipped up a schedule, enlisted willing readings, and away we go!

To thank you all for sticking it out with me while I lollygag in the reading department, I want to do a giveaway like I did with the last reading list. Last time Renee won the full list, but wasn’t able to enjoy all of the books because some of them were not available from Powell’s and then I was a distracted mess being pregnant and didn’t follow up with that (Sorry Renee!!). But this time I promise to do a better job with it. Also: Free books! Yay!

How to win and how to play: “Share” this post on twitter or facebook (on facebook you need to be “following” the I’m Better In Real Life facebook page and then hit the “share” option under this specific entry’s post and on twitter make sure to @ reply me in your share so that I can track the entry.) saying whatever you wish, just with the addition of hashtag #betterinrealifereadinglist and make sure you are linking back to this particular post. Make sure to also leave a comment on this post informing me you’re entering! Winners will be chosen next week by random.org. Good luck and happy reading!!ย

  1. Yes! I am super excited to be reading and also for the reviews to come. Looking forward to the discussions. And of course I am also entering the giveaway ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I shared this link directly on my FB and tagged you, since I didn’t see the post link on your BIRL Facebook page. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am so excited! Yay books!

  3. I tweeted! I’m excited to do some summer reading! (As long as there’s no Thomas Hardy – he haunted me the entire summer before my senior year…ugh.)

  4. shared on facebook! i’m pretty excited about my book, although I definitely need to stick to my reading schedule to finish it on deadline ๐Ÿ™‚ This is the closest thing I’ve had to an English Lit class in a looooong time, and i love it!

  5. Oohhh!!! Can’t wait. Truth and Beauty is one of my all time favorites, and I just read the light between oceans last fall. I will be interested to hear what people think if that one… I couldn’t quite put my finger on how I felt about it.
