I am still trying to recover from a whirlwind weekend in Seattle (there for less than 35 hours?). But this totally happened and baby was a trooper. Not one single tear was shed in the airport or in flight. Hooray!
When we got home our apartment looked like someone had robbed us (they hadn’t, we had just left in a flurry of blankets and wipes and extra clothes and ahhhhh go go go we’re going to be late!!!), and I need a solid 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep to join the land of the living…. unfortunately that won’t be happening any time in the foreseeable future. So here we are! One flight-savvy baby, one super tired mom and super tired dad, in a heat wave that has already lasted WAY TOO LONG, with a mountain of clothes that need to be folded on the bed, and a work week already started. Phew.
I nursed in the airport(s), I nursed on the plane(s), he was awake for all of the first one and asleep for almost all of the second one, he pooped during initial decent into Seattle, Kamel was a trooper changing him in a very wiggly airplane bathroom, and everyone lived to tell the tale.
More on things tomorrow, I’m still trying to pick up all the pieces today.
