Flashback Friday: Things I’ve Learned This Weekend

*Sometimes on Fridays I take a break from thinking up stories and interesting tidbits to share and delve into my currently unpublished blog that goes all the way back to Nov of 2006. Today I found a list that has me LOLing all over the place. This is from April 20, 2008 and is called “Things I Learned This Weekend.”

1.) Cleavage and a little eye liner go a long way

2.) Wow the messes house parties create.

3.) I have an amazing ability to roll out of bed, morning after makeup blaring, and still look refreshed and ready for it all.

4.) My life – career wise – is not going to be a normal one. I will not live the life of 9-5, and I cannot anticipate my future endeavors. And I’m both excited and working on accepting this.

5.) I’m 5 steps ahead of the game when it comes to giving myself all the options I can for my future. And realizing that for myself is better than any pat on the back.

6.) Trader Joes is overrated. Except for their wraps and salads which make packing for lunch a breeze!

7.) Every once in a great while there is nothing better than a good mall-ing. [Current Lauren Note: That meant going to the mall.]

8.) I don’t do nothing enough. Also – doing nothing makes me a crazy person after 3 hours. How to rectify? I’m not sure.

9.) I have REALLY shiny hair. The hair ppl told me so.

10.) Shaving my legs does not guarantee sex. Damnit.

  1. Ha! Shaving your legs doesn’t guarantee sex. HILARIOUS. I read some of the stuff I wrote when I was 16 and I can just tell that…I thought I was the shit…ha…I’d like to meet my 16-year-old self and meet it halfway on the ego. Ha.

  2. I wish I had your ability to roll out of bed and look good! I wake up every morning, even after restful evenings!, and look like a MONSTER. Seriously, 6 am me belongs in a horror movie. And so, for this I hate you. (just kidding, I love you)

Andddd, I thank God frequently for the gift of cleavage & eyeliner….

Oh, to be 21 again … *sigh*
